Veterans matter
Veterans matter. Their service, sacrifice, and stories are an essential part of our national identity — and they deserve to be honored, preserved, and shared. The mission of the Veterans Museum is built on a foundation of respect, remembrance, and public education.
Here are 5 powerful reasons the Veterans Museum exists:
The mission of the Veterans Museum is to -
Obtain, preserve, recognize, and respectfully honor the stories, histories, and legacy of veterans and their families
Better educate their progeny and the public on the nature and magnitude of their sacrifices and contributions to the survival of our democracy made by these veterans and their families
Facilitate the communications among and between individual veterans and reunions of multiple veteran military organizations
Help facilitate initial communications between veterans wanting or needing access to veteran-related social, medical, and mental health support organizations and/or other veteran-related benefits.
For additional support, veterans may also want to explore resources at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the National Veterans Foundation.
Promote the concept of a Museum of Museums (veteran and civilian) to maximize veteran and public awareness of where and how to both visit and support these important resources
