Scott Mythen retired from the Active Duty Navy in 2024 after 27 years of service as a musician, band director, and staff officer. His career focused on community outreach and engagement, international relations, educational leadership, and public affairs.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Minnesota, and a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. Scott resides in Jacksonville, FL with his family.

Gerald W. “Jerry” Smith is the founder and CEO of PineRidge Film & Television. Smith is an internationally recognized writer, producer, and director of lifestyle television programs, corporate image campaigns and online content. PineRidge has taken home six National Daytime Emmy Awards and eleven Emmy nominations in the past nine years. Smith served in the Naval Reserve for seven years.

Jane’s career has included management, public relations, and fund development both in the corporate and community environments. She served as president of The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Florida, which promotes an appreciation of patriotic service by providing opportunities for veterans to share their stories, which are archived in the Library of Congress. She has served on a number of boards in the community and is a member of Leadership Jacksonville. Jane has a BA degree from the University of Florida and is a native of Jacksonville, FL.

Jordan Fletcher graduated from Florida School of the Arts with a degree in Musical Theater. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Jordan has performed in numerous plays and musicals in the North Florida area. Jordan joined the Veterans Museum team in 2024 and has found the interviews with Veterans to be fascinating and educational.

Captain Dan Bean is a twenty-five (25) year Naval Veteran. He served as a Surface Warfare Officer and a Judge Advocate. He received the Legion of Merit, among other personal awards and commendations. He is the co-founder of his law firm, Abel Bean Law, where he practices as a trial lawyer and problem solver.

Brittany Cohill holds a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology and a master’s degree in U.S. history from the University of North Florida.
She has devoted her professional career to both the academic and public history fields. Beginning as an archives intern in graduate school, she has since held various leadership roles in Jacksonville’s museum industry. In March 2023, Cohill was named Executive Director of the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society. She has been an adjunct professor of history at Jacksonville University since 2018 and has developed courses in The History of the Modern World, U.S. History since 1865, the History of the Civil Rights Movement, and Women in Modern America. In 2023, she was awarded Jacksonville University’s inaugural Adjunct Faculty of Excellence Award.
Cohill serves on the University of North Florida’s College of Arts and Sciences Industry Advisory Board. She also serves as a mentor to UNF upperclassmen and graduate students through the university’s Community Alliance for Student Success. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, David, their three children, and extended family near and far.
Her family’s connection to U.S. military service runs deep. Cohill’s great-grandfather served as a sergeant in the United States Cavalry under General Pershing during the Mexican Expedition and in France during World War I. Her maternal grandfather served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, surviving an attack by a German U-boat while onboard LST-333 in the Mediterranean. Cohill’s paternal grandfather spent his career with the U.S. Coast Guard and was the commanding officer of Army vessel FS-156 assigned to the Southwest Pacific in May 1944. Her father-in-law retired as a commander from the U.S. Navy after deploying overseas as a physician with the medical corps during Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom. She admires them – and all U.S. Veterans – tremendously for their courage, sacrifice, and service to our nation.

Lad Daniels continues to be active in a wide range of community and charitable activities since retirement from a career in manufacturing and real estate development. He served on the Jacksonville City Council as well as several appointed state and local agencies. A Virginia native, he and his family have resided in Jacksonville since 1972. He has degrees from NC State and Harvard Universities.

Born and raised in Little Rock, Ar, Stan Halter graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1975 and begin a 24-year career as a Surface Warfare Officer serving aboard amphibious ships and destroyers with several staff assignments. Following his retirement as a Captain, he co-founded ReMilNet, LLC a Defense consultancy business in 2003, and continues to serve as the CEO. Stan has been involved with the Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Assn since 2015, serving as Treasurer.

He was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida, as was his wife, Barbara. From Landon High School, he attended Georgia Tech on a Naval ROTC scholarship, graduating in 1965. Commissioned as a U.S. Navy Supply Officer he served on the USS Agerholm (DD-826), the USS Piedmont (AD-17), on the staff of COMCRUDESPAC and at NAS Key West. He was the 1975 Founder and retired (2018) Past President and Board Chairman of Coastal Construction Products Inc., becoming the leading regional distributor of specialty waterproofing and concrete repair/protection materials. His current primary civic activities and hobbies include the Veterans Museum, USS Orleck (DD-886) Naval Ship Museum, golf, acoustic guitars (Martins) and active involvement and support of several local non-profit organizations. He and Barbara are the proud grandparents of six world-class grandchildren.

Mr. Salvatore has been Chairman of the Board of Alchatek since August 2018. Alchatek is a private Specialty Construction Solutions business. In 2014, he became a member of the Board of Directors at The Carlstar Group prior to becoming CEO in 2015. Mr. Salvatore has over 45 years of executive experience in the industrial sector. He spent 15 years in the construction chemical industry, with BASF Construction Chemicals as President & CEO of the business operations in the Americas. Prior to that, Mr. Salvatore held various marketing, leadership and business development roles with Harris Specialty Chemicals, BF Goodrich, and W. R. Grace. Mr. Salvatore holds a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture from Ryerson University and has studied Business and Marketing at the University of Western Ontario, Ivey School of Business, and York University. Mr. Salvatore resides in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Janice.

An Air Force Veteran, Bill returned to Jacksonville, FL, and joined the Air Force Reserves, retiring after a 30-year career. He took over the family industrial filter business and worked there for 40 years.
An avid race car enthusiast, Bill’s photography has been featured in Sports Car Graphic Magazine and Road & Track Magazine, where he is still on staff. Bill has been a race car driver for 47 years, participating in numerous races, including the 1975 Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, Cannonball One Lap of America, SCCA National Championships, International Motorsports Association Media Challenge, World Production Car Speed Record, and Vintage Racing.
He founded the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, a classic and race car show) in 1996, www.ameliaconcours.org. The Concours d’Elegance has raised over $5 million for Community Hospice, Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, The Navy & Marine Corps Relief Program, and the Shop with Cops Christmas shopping program for underprivileged children of Nassau County, FL.
In Bill’s words, “The saying in the yearbook, “Love me love my car” was pretty accurate. Don’t play golf, fish, or hunt, and never grew up but have lived my dream thanks to a very understanding wife. We celebrated our 57th on July 29.”

Frank W “Skip” Allcorn IV is the retired past President and co-owner of Coastal Construction Products. Coastal was founded in 1975, and Skip joined as a partner in 1977. Skip is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and attended The University of Georgia, graduating from The Terry Business School. After UGA, he attended US Navy Officer Candidate School and served as Missile Officer on a destroyer in Norfolk, then Executive Officer and Navigator on an ocean-going salvage ship in Pearl Harbor. In 1972, after finishing his service in the Navy, he joined Barnett Winston in Jacksonville. Skip’s main hobby is competitive sailing, which he has done since a small child. He also enjoys the North Carolina mountains, where he and his wife, Peggy, spend much of their summers, enjoying hiking and time with family, especially four grandchildren.

Martin Harrell is the President of Beacon Waterproofing, a division of Beacon Building Products (BECN). Mr. Harrell joined Beacon via an acquisition of Jacksonville-based, Coastal Construction Products in November 2022. His career evolved in the waterproofing industry, serving in roles including sales, marketing, sales management, and as Coastal’s CEO. Mr. Harrell served on the Boards of multiple non-profits in Jacksonville including JCCI and Riverside Presbyterian Day School and currently serves on the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the School of Business & Accountancy at Wake Forest University. Martin resides in Jacksonville with his wife and daughter.

Kevin Hyde works with employers to mitigate risks, prevent problems, and litigate on behalf of clients when their actions are challenged. Established in the Jacksonville area and entrenched in civic organizations for decades, Kevin has been recognized numerous times as “Lawyer of the Year” in Jacksonville by Best Lawyers. He puts his knowledge of the business climate and experience with community matters to work for clients. A partner and employment lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, Kevin represents employers in a variety of human resources matters. His practice focuses on ongoing employment counseling and workplace safety, as well as representation of employers in numerous charges of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, and management-union matters. Kevin is the former managing partner of the firm’s Jacksonville office and a former chair of the Labor & Employment Practice. He is a member of the Automotive and Food & Beverage Industry Teams and the Manufacturing Sector. Kevin speaks regularly about employment issues at national, regional, and state-wide business and civic organization conventions across the country.

Jim Webb relocated to Jacksonville in the 1990s where his group designed custom database systems for Universal Card and other AT&T entities. After retiring in 1999 (“Y’all can deal with Y2K,”) he moved into the hospitality space, creating Fuel Coffeehouse in Five Points. Closing ten years later, he segued into the nonprofit world, eventually working with The Friends of Hemming Park, a group that took over the management of the (now James Weldon Johnson) park. Bouncing back into the for-profit space, he joined Manifest Distilling, running events both on and offsite, keeping his finger on the pulse of Downtown Jacksonville. He also became involved with The Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association, which eventually led to the USS ORLECK coming to Jacksonville. And he oversees concessions for the Jacksonville Icemen at the Community First Igloo. He is on multiple nonprofit boards and is honored to be on the Advisory Board of the Veterans Museum.
